Learn how to track and manage your assets in FI Tracker.
Viewing Your Assets
The Assets page provides a comprehensive view of your entire portfolio:
- Asset Type Breakdown: Visual allocation across crypto, equities, cash, and private equity
- Summary Stats: Total portfolio value, unrealized gains/losses
- Detailed Table: All assets with prices, quantities, and performance metrics

Adding Purchase Entries
- Click on an asset in the table
- Click "Add Purchase Entry"
- Enter:
- Quantity purchased
- Cost per unit
- Purchase date
- Optional notes

Investment Thesis Tags
Tag your assets with investment strategies:
- Click "Edit" in the Thesis column
- Select or create thesis tags
- Examples: "Long-term Hold", "DCA Strategy", "Value Play"
Why Use Thesis Tags?
- Portfolio Analysis: Filter and analyze by investment strategy
- Decision Making: Review which thesis are performing

Asset Filters
Use filters to focus on specific segments:
- Type: Filter by crypto, equity, cash, etc.
- Location: View assets by exchange or institution
- Thesis: See all assets matching an investment strategy
- Search: Find specific assets by name or symbol
Best Practices
- Regular Updates: Click "Update Prices" to refresh market data
- Complete Cost Basis: Add all purchase entries for accurate tracking
